Our Internship and Work Placement Program offers experience in the disability and community sector, human resources, marketing fields and even finance.

During the program, students get to work on a big project, as well as a mix of smaller tasks, giving them a broad overview of what to expect working in the field, as well as ownership over an initiative that they helped bring to life!

Here’s what past students have said about their time with us:

👩🏻‍💻 “My work placement has been an incredibly enjoyable and meaningful experience. I had the chance to learn new skills, apply my knowledge, and build my confidence in a real workplace setting. The environment was supportive, and I always felt encouraged to ask questions and grow.” – Alexia

👩🏻‍💻 My work placement with Helping Solutions has been one of the most valuable and rewarding learning experiences of my community services journey. The staff at Helping Solutions took the time to mentor me, explain processes, and ensure I understood best practices in person-centred care, case management, and NDIS support work. I am genuinely grateful for the experience and highly recommend Helping Solutions to any student seeking a positive, supportive, and enriching placement environment.” – Ethel

👩🏻‍💻 “During my placement at Helping Solutions, I gained valuable hands-on experience in the disability and community services sector, especially in understanding NDIS processes and communicating with participants and support workers. I learned how important it is to consider each participant’s individual needs, and the experience helped me build confidence in support coordination tasks, time management, teamwork, and maintaining professional boundaries. I’m very grateful for the support and guidance from the team.” – Althea

👩🏻‍💻 “I really enjoyed my time at Xanadu Group. I learnt so many different aspects of marketing and the industry. Working within this industry has opened my eyes to so many experiences, both related to marketing and in general. I think the sensitivity of this industry has taught me to be more creative with my marketing and instilled such valuable skills that I will forever use in my career.” – Kiera
